Body Compass Virtual Workshop
Empowering Young Women to Understand and Embrace Their Cycles
"Body Compass" is a supportive and educational three day experience tailored specifically for young women who are spellers. This workshop aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment where participants can gain a deeper understanding of their bodies and menstrual cycles. Through interactive sessions and expert guidance, attendees will explore topics such as hormonal changes, menstrual health, and available healthcare options. The goal is to empower young women with knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, fostering a sense of confidence and autonomy.
DAY ONE: Understanding Your Cycle
Learn about Menstrual Cycles and what to expect, and explore strategies to manage symptoms
DAY TWO: Identifying Abnormal Cycles
Gain knowledge to recognize signs of irregular cycles and when to seek further care - (not all hormonal testing is through entails, options for childbirth, and how to lab work if needles make you nervous!)
DAY THREE: Pregnancy & Birth Basics
An introduction to what pregnancy entails, options for childbirth, and how to feel empowered throughout.
ADDITIONAL ADD-ON: Critical Thinking Conversations
Learn how to advocate for your health and rights in a changing landscape. This segment covers women's health in the United States, the impact of recent changes, and practical ways to stand up for your needs in challenging healthcare settings.

WHERE: Anywhere! Zoom link will be provided upon registration
TIME: 5:30-6:30pm EST (short Q&A to follow)
COST: $30/workshop; $85 to bundle three days, $15 for writing workshop add-on (date TBD)

MADELINE ISHMAEL, MPH, MSN, RN, is a distinguished health professional who has dedicated over ten years to advancing public health, women’s wellness, and nursing. She is also an S2C practitioner and has six years of working with spellers. As the founders of Uterine Wisdom & Wellness, she is committed to empowering young women through education that is both compassionate and integrative. Madeline’s approach blends her extensive knowledge of functional and integrative health with a fervent passion for creating inclusive, accessible learning environments. Her global experience in supporting women across diverse settings underscores her dedication to building a supporting community where every person is valued and heard.
