Nurturing Wellness, Honoring Your Path
Our vision is to foster a world where every woman feels empowered, supported, and grounded in her body’s innate wisdom, confidently embracing all stages of life with resilience and vitality
Hi, I’m Madeline Ishmael.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for taking the time to stay curious about your body, your cycle, conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and all of the beautiful initiations and rites of passage we are fortunate to explore in this body, in this life. I’ve been learning, relearning, unlearning and remaining firmly grounded in my humility my entire life. I was someone who had debilitatingly painful bleeds, anxiety, and experienced intense feelings of depression for the first time while weaning from breastfeeding. I’ve felt lost, dismissed and judged by the medical system so often. More than once I’ve left a doctors appointment in tears with no answers and frankly, feeling a little crazy.
It didn’t happen right away because what I envisioned for any future practice was a well rounded understanding of these various stages in our lives, both holistically and with some medical teaching and training. That’s when I began reading every book available on hormonal imbalances, I made the research my part time job and I studied. I became a student of my own body and the beautiful, delicate and magical bodies of the individuals with uteruses around me.
I started out in the public health sector conducting research and advocating to keep labor and delivery wards open in areas of disaster. My focus was really on global public health as well as lower income communities. From there, it evolved to researching safe transportation and communication options for pregnant women in lower income communities in India and Africa to decrease the number of women dying in childbirth prior to arriving to a safe facility or being attended to by local midwives
in 2019, I became a birth doula
2022 I became a certified lactation counselor and prenatal yoga instructor
In 2024, I became a registered nurse in the state of Florida with a masters in nursing on the trajectory to specializing in midwifery
I began studying functional health in 2022 to support my own journey and attended many educational seminars, bought tons of books and began connecting (or I guess noticing the disconnect) between what I was being taught with what I understood to be true about our ENTIRE bodies as well as environmental influences. I’ve been taught and mentored by a large body of incredible people and take their wisdom into every session and care plan.
A MESSAGE TO ANYONE WHO IS DISABLED DUE TO A LIFELONG DIAGNOSIS: I believe that there isn’t a one size fits all in the realm of health and wellness. I don’t believe there’s a magical checklist to sort through where “everything will be perfect!” I believe in acknowledging there is a gap in care, bridging the gap and meeting every person where they are. In our society, our cells are being exposed to so many new things in the environment that frankly, our genes haven’t evolved to navigate. This has lead to many autoimmune disorders and chronic illnesses that may be alleviated with different protocols and support, but may not disappear completely. My heart is to support those with varying degrees of disability so if thats you, don’t worry - NOTHING about your diagnosis makes me uncomfortable. I’m here because I believe everyone needs support and guidance. My overall mission is to bring you into a state where you realistically can be. It isn’t for me to insert my own agenda. Feeling empowered in your health puts you in the driver seat to feel a confidence in understanding your body and that can look so many different ways.
